WBH Annual Population Survey 2023

As it Stands:

A total of 27 White-bellied Herons (WBH), including three juveniles recorded during the WBH Annual Population Survey, conducted from March 1-5, 2023. The survey was conducted across the major river basins; Punatsangchu, Mangdechu, Chamkharchu, Kurichu, Kholongchu, Drangmechu, Manas, Wangchu, and major tributaries, covering all currently used and potential WBH habitats.

We appreciate the supports and hard work of all surveyors from Department of Forests and Park Services, Local Conservation Support Groups and Volunteers in making this annual survey a success.
