On this most auspicious occasion, the Royal Society for Protection of Nature (RSPN) is deeply humbled and profoundly honoured that ๐—›๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ท๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜๐˜† ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—š๐˜†๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜๐˜€๐˜‚๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐—๐—ฒ๐˜๐˜€๐˜‚๐—ป ๐—ฃ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฎ ๐—ช๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ฐ๐—ต๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐—ธ, our beloved Royal Patron has graciously bestowed five precious names upon the White-bellied Herons currently nurtured at the Conservation Centre in Tsirang. The precious names are:

โœจ ๐——๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฎ

โœจ ๐—ฆ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—บ

โœจ ๐—ž๐˜‚๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ฎ

โœจ๐—๐—ฎ๐—บ๐˜†๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ด

โœจ๐—Ÿ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ผ

This noble gesture beautifully reflects Her Majesty’s compassionate love for nature and unwavering commitment to the protection of all living beings that call Bhutan home.

These precious names were formally unveiled by our Chief Guest and distinguished guests during a special ceremony celebrating Her Majesty’s Birth Anniversary.

For a critically endangered species hovering on the brink of extinction, these names symbolize far more than identification, they represent hope, royal guardianship, and Bhutan’s enduring pledge to conservation. They will forever inspire our global efforts to protect the White-bellied Heron, one of the world’s rarest birds.

This ceremony sends a powerful, definitive message to the world: Bhutan will not let these magnificent birds disappear from our rivers and forests.
