𝗥𝗦𝗣𝗡 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁

The Royal Society for Protection of Nature (RSPN) had the honor of hosting a four-day official visit by a delegation from the Adaptation Fund(AF) Secretariat from January 21 to 24, 2026. The purpose of the mission was to assess RSPN’s ongoing accreditation process with the Adaptation Fund, a critical step toward securing support for climate adaptation projects in Bhutan.

During the visit, the AF delegation engaged in productive meetings with RSPN staff and the Ministry of Finance (MoF), the Designated Authority for the Adaptation Fund. The delegation also visited several RSPN project sites in Punakha, Wangdue, and Tsirang districts to gain firsthand insight into RSPN’s ongoing environmental and community-based initiatives.

This mission marks a significant milestone in RSPN’s efforts to strengthen its capacity for climate resilience and sustainable development. Partnership with the Adaptation Fund will further enhance RSPN’s ability to implement impactful adaptation projects across Bhutan’s diverse ecosystems.
