The Royal Society for Protection of Nature (RSPN) had the honor of hosting a four-day official visit by a delegation from the Adaptation Fund(AF) Secretariat from January 21 to 24, 2026. The purpose of the mission was to assess RSPNโ€™s ongoing accreditation process with the Adaptation Fund, a critical step toward securing support for climate adaptation projects in Bhutan.

During the visit, the AF delegation engaged in productive meetings with RSPN staff and the Ministry of Finance (MoF), the Designated Authority for the Adaptation Fund. The delegation also visited several RSPN project sites in Punakha, Wangdue, and Tsirang districts to gain firsthand insight into RSPNโ€™s ongoing environmental and community-based initiatives.

This mission marks a significant milestone in RSPNโ€™s efforts to strengthen its capacity for climate resilience and sustainable development. Partnership with the Adaptation Fund will further enhance RSPNโ€™s ability to implement impactful adaptation projects across Bhutanโ€™s diverse ecosystems.
