RSPN Bhutan is deeply honored to have joined hands with thousands of volunteers in the Gelephu Mindfulness City Zhabtog (community service) program, inspired by the noble vision of His Majesty The King.
FromSeptember 4–8 , 2025, our RSPN team worked alongside volunteers from across the country to contribute to the collective effort of clearing land for parks and public spaces in Gelephu Mindfulness City.
This initiative represents more than just community service. It is a reflection of our shared dream for a mindful and harmonious Bhutan, where environmental stewardship and community well-being go hand in hand. Together, we are helping to create a lasting legacy that will benefit not only the present but also generations to come.
About Gelephu Mindfulness City
Guided by the vision of His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) Special Administrative Region (SAR) was established under a Royal Charter as a highly autonomous region in the Kingdom of Bhutan with executive & legislative powers, and an independent judiciary.
As an SAR, GMC will operate under the concept of “One Country, Two Systems” with the mandate to adopt and adapt best governing and business practices from around the world. His Majesty The King envisioned an oasis of mindfulness and prosperity amid global challenges and geostrategic uncertainty, with GMC offering a path that blends Bhutanese values of spirituality, harmony with nature, and community with the dynamism of technology, innovation, and global commerce. From a small nation comes a bold idea: to demonstrate that economic prosperity can coexist with spiritual mindfulness and environmental sustainability.
