RSPN Bhutan with support from the Bhutan Foundation ๐ฆ๐บ๐ฎ๐น๐น ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ๐บ๐ฒ (๐ฆ๐๐ฃ), conducted Inception and Coordination meetings on 13โ14 August 2026 for the project โ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐-๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ง๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐บ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ท๐ถ ๐๐ผ๐ธ๐ฎ ๐ง๐๐ต๐ผ ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐น.โ
The meetings with the Punakha Dzongkhag Administration, Wangdue Divisional Forest Office, Kabjisa Gewog Administration, and Gawpay Community Forest Management Group (CFMG) focused on project orientation, community participation, coordination, and planning for the Nature Trail, Trailhead Hub, Visitor Registration Facility, and Waste Management Plan. The engagement aims to strengthen collaboration and community ownership towards sustainable tourism, conservation, and improved local livelihoods around Kabji Hoka Tsho (Lake).
๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ท๐ถ ๐๐ผ๐ธ๐ฎ ๐ง๐๐ต๐ผ is a sacred natural lake located in Kabjisa Gewog, Punakha Dzongkhag. Nestled within a rich, forested mountain landscape at an elevation of approximately 2,000 metres above sea level, the lake is characterised by its serene and secluded setting, natural surroundings, and deep cultural and spiritual significance. It is regarded as an important natural and cultural attraction in the Kabjisa landscape, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience Bhutanโs natural beauty alongside its rich cultural heritage.
