Collaboration for implementing environment conservation programs

A meeting was held with conservation professionals from the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies of Japan, Mr. Kazunobu Onogawa, Mr. Dickella Gamaralalage and officials from National Environment Commission Secretariat Office. The discussion highlighted on enhancing collaboration among the partners in implementing school-based, community-based and institutional based environment conservation programs particularly on waste management. Environment conservation is not a stand alone effort, getting every individual on board is positioned as one of the important strategies in addressing conservation issues at all level of society. The discussion looked in the aspects of expanding the scope of the project and its sustainability in taking up the way forward initiatives.
