Clean Bhutan Day 2009

ANNOUNCEMENT October 29, 2009 – Clean Bhutan Day was initiated in 2008 prior to Coronation and Centenary Celebrations with the approval from the Royal Government of Bhutan.

This year, Clean Bhutan Day will be observed throughout the country on Sunday 1^st November. The Royal Society for Protection of Nature urges every citizen and residents of Bhutan to participate in contributing to ‘CLEAN BHUTAN’:

–          Ensuring that you spare a few hours on 1^st November – Its ‘CLEAN BHUTAN DAY’
–          Spreading words of concern for the environment;
–          Mobilizing friends and neighbors and clean up your own surroundings;

Be the steward of your own surrounding and commit to act against littering and adopt proper waste management practices.
