Bangkok Climate Change Conference – 2011

The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is meeting in Bangkok from 3 – 8 April, 2011 to discuss action plans following decisions made at COP 16 in Cancun Mexico.

The meeting will facilitate presentations on assumptions and conditions related to the attainment of quantified economy-wide emission reduction targets by developed country parties and Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) by the developing countries.

The meetings also includes sixteenth session of the ad hoc working group on further commitments of developed nations under the Kyoto Protocol, and the fourteenth session of the ad hoc working group on long-term cooperative action under the UNFCCC.

A total of over 2000 representatives from all over the world are attending the meeting.
